Tea Cupping | The Teas of India

Join us on a tasteful odyssey through the misty hills of India crafted by the renowned tea master himself, Dan Robertson. India is the world’s second largest producer of tea and Dan will share the history of the Darjeeling, Assam, and Nilgiri regions while taking us through the three steps of cupping. Cupping is a process that involves evaluating the quality of a tea leaf by observing its appearance, aroma, and flavor.
If you’re a tea lover that wants to better understand your favorite beverage, learning how to cup is a valuable experience. While sipping these unique Indian Teas, you’ll enjoy a Cream Tea of two Salted Caramel Chai-Pretzel PineScones with Caramel Devon Crème and Strawberry Preserves.

Pinecone Cottage is now taking reservations for Weekend Afternoon Tea and Teatorials on our website. For Weekend Afternoon Tea or Teatorials, using the reservations tab, make a date and time selection, to conveniently purchase your tickets through your PayPal account or as a guest. Please call 630.963.9130 for Weekday Afternoon Tea reservations.
Please register and pay for Teatorials one week in advance to help ensure it will be held as scheduled. Your registration is a commitment to attend, and fees are non-refundable. A minimum of four guests is required (not four in your party) in order to offer Teatorials and cancellations must be made at least five days prior to receiving credit for a future event, no exceptions. If you are unable to meet the cancellation deadline, you are welcome to send someone in your place. If Pinecone Cottage cancels the Teatorial, you will receive a full refund.
